How to Sync your Mobile Device

How to sync an iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) device with the school calendar.

Obtain a Gmail account.

On the left side of the screen look for "Other Calendars" and click.

Select add a friends calendar and enter westbranchstjoe@gmail.com for the contact email. Please do not use this email address to contact the school, it is not monitored for communications and is only used for this calendar.

Next from your iOS enabled device add your Gmail account under Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

After your account is set up on your iOS device, login to your Gmail account ON THE MOBILE DEVICE BROWSER at m.google.com/sync. From there you can tap "Sign in with your Google Account".

Tap the device to be managed. Check St. Joseph School Calendar under Shared calendars. Be sure to tap save before signing out.

Your device should take no more than a few minutes to sync the calendar after opening the calendar app.

If the device does not sync within a few minutes then log on to www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect from a desktop computer and make sure that westbranchstjoe@gmail.com is checked. Click save before exiting.

How to sync an Android OS device with the school calendar.

Obtain a Gmail account.

On the left side of the screen look for "Other Calendars" and click.

Select add a friends calendar and add westbranchstjoe@gmail.com for the contact email. Please do not use this email address to contact the school, it is not monitored for communications and is only used for this calendar.

Next setup your Gmail account on your Android enabled device if not already done.

Then using the calendar app on the device tap the menu button and select "More." Next tap "Calendars." Make sure "St. Joseph School" is selected as synced and visible.

The shared calendar should now automatically sync with your device.
